I installed this on a small block Chevy truck. The 36 year old OEM distributor was worn out and leaking oil into the rotor area. It worked fine, although I think the vacuum feed or weights were wrong. At 4* base time, this pings the engine. I actually had to set the base time to less than 0* to keep it from pinging under heavy load. Otherwise it worked for a good 100 working hours (with the operating hours counter on the truck) and then left me lying around. The truck accidentally stopped about 15 miles from home. It restarted after being left for about a minute and worked for maybe 10-30 seconds before shutting down again. I was able to limp it home this way (took me about 3 hours!). I suspected the ignition module, so I replaced it. it is with the new one. The truck stopped, but crackled and bounced under load. I ended up putting the old OEM distributor back in and the truck runs fine. I wouldn't buy it, it's just not worth the headache.
