Review on Black Zojirushi Stainless Steel Travel Mug - 12 Oz/0.36L by Virgilio Patton

As mentioned earlier this is a thermos, not a travel mug. I'm amazed at the good reviews from so many people who obviously don't mind the stupid design of this thing. It has a lid that splits into three parts, but when you take out the inner plug, the "lid" (the weird and thin top part) doesn't remain; and if you leave the inner stopper on, you cannot drink from it without unscrewing the cap. So this weird and thin top is useless - literally useless. I was so suspicious that I contacted Zojirushi because I was sure I was missing something. Turns out it wasn't me. They confirmed that it was indeed impossible to drink from without completely unscrewing the cap and said the cap "can be disassembled for a more thorough cleaning". Of course if it hadn't fallen apart I wouldn't have needed to clean it more thoroughly as there would only be one piece. And the fact that I have to unscrew the cap to drink from it makes it almost useless. Unfortunately I didn't use it until after the refund period had passed, so I'm sticking with it for now.
