Fits very well on my 2014 Mk6 GTI with stock wheels/tires (225/40R18). According to the instructions, you need to remove two links at a time. As for the eyelet attachment, you will need the smallest diameter claw (17mm) and a silver spacer - the chains should come already fitted. The 17mm claw may need a bit of work, but take my advice - the 19mm claw is too big and will come loose. Getting dressed is very easy if you practice - it might take 5 minutes. When on, they were great. Fits snugly to the tire, nothing touches the wheel and there is no problem with wheel arch clearance even when fully blocked in both directions. Note that after your ride you will probably want to clear the wheel well of snow/mud - if you don't do this you will find an almost solid block of ice between the wheel and the indentations in the morning. The grip was great. Considering these are probably the only chains that won't damage the GTI, I highly recommend them. Taking a star off because the nylon strap has worn a bit after a ride where it connects to the cleat holder - I'm a little worried about durability. In addition, the cost is 4 times higher than other networks.
