Perfect fit for 2017 Nissan Rogue SL

I needed a roof rack for my 2017 Nissan Rogue SL. The dealer wanted to charge me $300 + labor. If you are at least fundamentally accommodating, you can do it yourself and save a lot of money. There are 4 brackets included in the kit that are just labeled FL, FR, RL, RR so you have to put in a real effort to screw them in. Both crossbars are clearly marked front and rear. Bolts and washers are supplied with a matching hex wrench. (NOT included: Tube of LocTite Blue. Recommended for screws to keep them from loosening. Any auto parts store has this stuff for about $7. Well worth it.) Took me about 45 minutes, but I'm alone to get around lay out and install everything. Okay, Petter pattern. Let us begin. The instructions are very vague, so here are my tips. Apply a little LocTite to each bolt as you lay them all out. Cool. Now - Screw the rear cross member into the rear brackets (left and right respectively). Do the same for the front marked cross member with FL and FR mount. Um, just one point. FL - front left. FR - front right. Etc. Just in case it's not obvious. Now put a blanket over your vehicle so you don't scratch the pretty paintwork too much. Using the long screws provided, add the washer, starting with one screw - attach threaded and loose. I started with FL but you make yourself. After loosening the 2 screws in FL, move to the other side of the car and repeat for FR. Make sure the bottom edge of the bracket is flush with the car roof rail (say it 3x faster). Do you understand. Now do the same for the back. Again, using an old hex wrench, double check that all the screws in the brackets and crossbars are tight. Do not overtighten or break the screw. It will ruin your day. Good. Dust off your mittens, step back, pour on Pupper and enjoy the splendor of your shiny new roof rack. Well done buddy. Looks great. Durable material. Featured!
