I have used Hillman fasteners on my deck remodeling project for the base and making new supports in a few places and also on 4WD's. Poles to attach to the sides of the deck and other parts of this project. You don't undress. First I drill pilot holes. They don't break either. DO NOT use any of the cordless impact wrenches on them. We had a carpenter who used one of these impact wrenches to install regular old furniture screws and a lot of them broke in the finished wood which meant I had to drill them out and patch the wood surface to fix them. Just use a cordless screwdriver and pre-drill pilot holes and you won't have a problem with that. Excellent quality fasteners.
