My wife has a 2017 Ford C-Max and has always complained about the difficulty of unplugging the stock charger and taking it with her when she leaves the house. As her birthday was approaching, I figured another charger would make a nice gift. She can leave her original charger plugged in at home and have a spare in her car. First I went to the dealer and they gave me a ridiculous price for their ev charger! I told the dealership at the dealership I wouldn't pay more than $500 for an extra charger. In fact, he agreed they were overpriced and told me to look at aftermarket brands on Amazon. He said they're a lot cheaper and work just as well. After lots of research and comparisons, I settled on this particular Southking Ev Charger. I took the risk of buying this particularly unknown brand, mainly because of the price, and their QnA department assured me that it would work with my wife's C-Max. It's been about 3 weeks since I gave her the charger and she loves it! She actually switched that charger to the main charger at home and now uses the Ford charger as a secondary/backup charger. She said it charges much faster and the longer cord makes it very convenient for her to park anywhere in her driveway while still being able to charge.
