Cool car combustion leak tester that is easy to use and like a science experiment!

I LOVE THIS TESTER! It's almost worth using it just as a science experiment. The tool is so easy to use that you only need basic instructions. According to the instructions, you can disassemble it into 3 parts (upper suction part, middle tube and down tube). Then fill each of the tubes with liquid to a clearly visible fill line. You put it back together and then either use it with your radiator (follow instructions) with the cap removed, or in my case I used an overflow for my coolant as my radiator doesn't have a cap area. You squeeze the top of the bulb about 3-4 times and it pushes air up through the bottom tube and into the top tube. When CO2 is present, the top tube will turn from blue to yellow. My car has not discolored which is good as the CO2 from the combustion system has not mixed with the coolant due to a blown head gasket or cracked cylinder block etc. Just to check, I also breathed my own air into my hand (with CO2) and sucked it into the tool at the same time as the bulb head, and it really started turning the liquid from blue to yellow, so it's working. A very easy to use tool to check if you have a cracked cylinder block or a blown head gasket where CO2 from the engine exhaust is leaking into the coolant. I highly recommend ruling out any of these situations if you are concerned about them, for reassurance or to tell you what the real problem is. Also, teaching them what it does is a learning moment for the kids as it's like a science experiment!
