Make sure to face the solar panel as easterly as possible to maximize exposure to the sun

Setup was easy. The three brightnesses are a plus as well as the ability to have them do patterned pulsing. Two remotes are also a plus. Charging the batteries occurs whether you leave the unit on or off (the lights only activate once it is dark enough for the battery to activate, so turning the unit "on" will not necessarily flip the lights on .it has to be dark enough for that.)

Pros

The solar works great. The lights stay on for 8 hours.

Cons

The string lights may have a limited lifespan and may need to be replaced frequently
