I even sometimes use it in my Macbook Pro where theoretically it shouldn't be needed as there is already a standard 4 pin input . Skype on Mac may not always automatically select the correct audio device, especially if another application is already open that needs access to the audio device, such as Microsoft Windows. e.g. FaceTime. All I have to do is connect NRG and Skype immediately switches to it. Crystal clear audio in both directions based on the feedback received. Same behavior on Linux and Windows. I am glad that I can easily use my EarPods for phone with any computer, regardless of the operating system, in any situation.
