One headset to control them all!

This allows you to use your favorite iOS headset on your PC. I use several different laptops and it's easy for me to use this adapter to make my headset work with all of them. (Windows 10, 8.1) This is of course not necessary on my MacBook Air. I believe Windows PCs have a set of standards and NONE of the manufacturer's websites clearly states which headsets are compatible. This effectively adds a new sound card to the PC with an Apple headphone jack. I've used it with both a regular headset…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Works exactly as it should.

works great. I use this to make VoIP calls in Google Hangouts with cheap headphones with a mic. I have on-ear Bluetooth and USB headsets with mics, and while the sound quality is great, I often find myself in noisy, busy environments and don't like using extension mics (looks overkill in a coffee shop setup). I also find that background noise distracts the people I meet. They work great mainly because my headphones have a small form factor and I can move the mic closer to reduce ambient noise…

Microphone does not work with Apple EARPODS

Four stars because: This device works as described for most TRRS headsets. Headset Buddy's customer service was also very helpful and accommodating. Minus 1 star because: This device does not work with Apple Earpods, even though it says so. Microphone signaling on Apple Earpods differs from most TRRS headsets; The only input sound I heard after testing these two devices and two different computers was a loud, constant beep. However, they work with Apple headphones (older, more classic…

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Too long waiting time

First of its kind I found

I wanted to be able to use Bose noise canceling headphones with built in microphone like I use my MacBook Pro on my desktop. But my desktop has separate microphone and headphone inputs. I was looking for a similar item for a long time when I came across this product and I have to say that I was simply impressed with its performance. Windows 8.1 did not require driver installation and the recording and audio quality is quite good. My only complaint was the blinking blue LED which I had to tape…

  • Many will fit
Cons
  • No

No problem. It works exactly as I expected

I even sometimes use it in my Macbook Pro where theoretically it shouldn't be needed as there is already a standard 4 pin input . Skype on Mac may not always automatically select the correct audio device, especially if another application is already open that needs access to the audio device, such as Microsoft Windows. e.g. FaceTime. All I have to do is connect NRG and Skype immediately switches to it. Crystal clear audio in both directions based on the feedback received. Same behavior on Linux

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Some difficulties
