The frothy separation wears off. Everything is OK!
When I bought this product it appeared to be split and was white and foamy on top. I used to buy this product from a department store and have never seen such a disconnect. I've read the reviews and this seems to be a common occurrence. I'm happy to report that after about a week, the foamy white part settles down and looks more normal. It is not split and I am using it now with good results. So my advice is to just let it sit and shake gently to ensure the right consistency of the product.
