These rugged, versatile jacks simplify and tidier connections for my vintage stereo systems. I am using Spade speaker wire and have added them to connect to spring loaded terminals on receivers and speakers. I agree with other buyers who say that only the tip fits into some stereo jacks, but for my gear this is sufficient. The big problem is that the plugs are big enough to touch - a potentially serious problem with electrical devices. Luckily I was able to flip the connectors on a stereo to avoid contact (see first photo). On the other hand, on an old Marantz with plug-in connections, I achieved a redistribution / defect that completely avoids the problem (second photo). The connectors worked great with my speakers (third photo). These plugs gave me a much needed solution to an old problem at a great price. I am very happy with it.
