I have long wanted to mount my monitors in a way that allows me to mix (or even enjoy) music without having to bend down to focus my ears in the right place. I was worried about my monitors slipping and falling, but this hasn't happened after several months of sitting or standing desk use. There is a hole in the speaker stands that you can use to mount your monitors, but I don't have a hole in my monitors and I won't make one in case I misunderstand the internal architecture. Now I am convinced that they are safer alone than standing on something flat because they still have a low profile at that angle. The stands flex a bit if that's important to you.
