Most of my electronic devices use USB-C cables for charging and data transfer. (I still have a few micro-USB, but I'm working on eliminating them.) But the Microsoft Surface laptops and tablets use a proprietary charging cable system. My latest laptop, a Surface Pro X, does support charging via USB-C, but if you want to take advantage of fast charging you're going to need a Surface charger.Right now, I have one charger on my desk at home (the one that came with the device), and another on my desk at work. But I really need to keep one in my backpack for travel. I'm using this CYD charger for that purpose. It does the job very nicely. The only slight issue is the size: it's a bit larger than my other Surface chargers, so I may wind up switching units to reduce travel weight.
