My 3 year old daughter loves it. It was a simple gift I ordered for Christmas! It turned out to be a hit. The details are made of wood and are durable. This is a well made product. The colors are beautiful and bright. I also think it was very educational for her. I also appreciate the wooden box for organizing the parts. I still haven't bought any Melissa and Doug products, but I plan to do so again.

My two daughters, 4 and 7 years old, love this magnetic dress-up horse. The magnets are strong and will stay where you put them even if you lift your horse. I hope Melissa and Doug can think of other animals, maybe a dragon for the boy? Or even a horse of a different color. I would change two things: The block of wood used as a base is too narrow. It should be wider and longer to keep the top-heavy horse from tipping over. I also wish the wooden box had a lid! Even the most careful of babies…

Very cute set that will please both female riders and normal parents. The horse is finely drawn and endearing, the harness is decent (the western-style saddle leaves a lot to be desired, but the rest is pretty accurate, the dressage saddle and blanket are spot on), and the fantasy gear sets are great. My daughter loves this! My only complaint is that the storage bin is just a flat wooden box with no lid and no way to stuff loose parts inside. Terrible for travel and storage.

If your child loves horses, then you have no choice but to buy this doll. There's really no point in this item other than that you can easily decorate your horse however you like by attaching various magnet pieces to the pony outline.
