Let me start by saying that I have several decades of experience in the automotive maintenance industry and specialize in electronics. I got this to add some cheap electric locks to my off-road expedition truck. So do I, but in a good way! The locks are standard drives, very simple and designed to last. They have enough force to pick the locks and aside from their loudness, you'd have a hard time telling they're not factory made. I'm only taking off a star because the instructions are a joke! In fact, there are NO instructions, just a schematic. It's up to you to figure out how to install and get them working. No problem if you are mechanically inclined and know how to set up the system. Be aware - THIS KIT IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS! Other than that, it's a pretty decent setup. As mentioned, the cables are a bit short for some setups, but that's easy enough to overcome. I connected them to my security system and remote start and added a set of door lock switches. It took a few hours including programming my security system.
