Review on Tamagotchi 42879 Original Candy Swirl by Corby Muin

I was very excited when the Tamagotchi Mini came out, but it was too simple for my liking. I was even happier to see that they were good enough to bring back full original Tamagotchi units. I pre-ordered this black one straight away and it arrived today (9/30/18). I definitely recommend it. I'm sure nostalgia is a factor, but it's fun to have this little device back in stores. Even without reading the instructions, it's easy enough to become familiar with the controls. So if you've used it in the past you should be fine, otherwise read the instructions. Keep in mind that he is very demanding at first as his hunger/happiness meter goes down quickly, this means he is a baby and when he gets a little older you won't have to take care of him as much . 10/19/18 edit: My first boyfriend turned 18 before he died and now I have a few days of a second. I still enjoy it. I admit that there are a few design quality issues, namely sound and screen. Sometimes the internal speaker "squeaks" but for me it's intermittent and sometimes applying pressure can stop it. Also, the screen isn't perfect and can be a bit blurry when viewed straight up, at an angle when it's looking its best, and I've read online that tightening some of the internal screws can fix this, but I still have it not tried not so important. I just thought it was worth reiterating those points. Nevertheless, a lot of fun and I can still recommend it 100%! I really hope we get more Tamagotchi or maybe even Digimon here in the west.
