My wife recently decided to get some Bamboo Wood flooring and wanted some rugs and a thread mill mat to protect the new floors. We do not like rugs that slip or thread mill mats that don't lay flat. The Melca tape works great and keeps the runner rug snug to the new wooden floor and the curled edges on the mat is flat as well. You don't see it mentioned on the reviews that I have read but the tape does not add height to the rugs or mat it is very thin but seems to be very strong. I really can't comment (with any facts on the residue) but knowing the adhesive is very strong a solvent might be required to clean the flooring if you decide to remove the object you used the tape on. Is that really a problem? Not to me. Final words, I am glad we made the purchase and will be looking for more places to use the tape in the future.
