I bought this toy for my Senegal, a medium sized parrot. She loves to chew and loves wooden cubes. Usually I have to hang a new toy outside her door for a few days. Most parrots think new creatures will attack them, so it takes several days. Not this time. She immediately approached the toy and started chewing on it. I like that the toy is made of natural material. I would have preferred it to be dye free as color is not very important to birds; they just want to chew. This toy uses food coloring but is optional. The only thing I didn't like was the hook to hang the toy on. It may be dangerous. The bird can put its beak in the hook, get stuck and pierce the beak. It's a strange accident, but why take the risk. This is easy to fix. I replace them with quick release bird toy hangers or shower curtain hooks.
