This is a better and cheaper alternative to the only locally available brand 'Spectra'. Literally all parts stores only have this 1 type. Spectra Premium CU1290 which is listed as suitable for many Civic models including my 1999 Civic HX. However this WILL NOT FIT my civilian. Measured top to bottom, it is over 1/8 inch taller than Denso's factory cooler. As a result, the front right corner of the cooler does not fit under the frame. So I had no choice but to order it online (even from the dealer). It wasn't a cooler in stock so I had to wait anyway except with a $300 bill). This TYC cooler arrived in 2 days (thanks Prime) and is great quality. I suspect it might even be from KOYO -Radiators are manufactured for TYC. So far he's been great for the past two weeks. It came with a lid which is nice. It wasn't as smooth as the original heatsink (still too big), but it fit, unlike the Spectra. 1. I was uncomfortable with it being too close to the frame as it could potentially bounce and rub, so I wedged in a small piece of rubber padding material to hold it in place and prevent rubbing against the metal frame. I would not hesitate to buy this device again. BTW, if you're determined to pay more for peace of mind (ie OE m) you can buy an aftermarket unit direct from OEM Denso. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the exact same radiator that's missing the Honda badging. You can buy it from one of their suppliers listed on their website and it will only cost you about twenty dollars more. However, the shipping will not be profitable :)
