For all you naysayers and naysayers, let me clear up some confusion once and for all. It fits in a Lowes 5 gallon blue general purpose bucket purchased within the last 10 years. Not quite, but listen to me. A 5 gallon Lowes bucket is 14 inches deep and fits down about 10 inches. The sand guard is about 2 1/2 high, which leaves about 1 1/2 inches from the bottom of the bucket, which it doesn't touch. In my opinion, this is not a violation of the terms of the contract. When the bucket is filled with water, the sand guard will not float to the top. It's made of durable resin/plastic that isn't likely to break unless you flip it on the machine. Recommend
