Pure skepticism! I bought my truck from my dad with just over 100,000 miles on it. The truck is amazing but for the last 5 years my transmission has been slipping at 45-55 mph. Read endless articles on TC lock etc, make a ground wire from the battery and wait for the transfer. Still nothing. You can understand my skepticism if the less than $40 wire SOLVED my problem! It was very easy to install and I tried to unlock TC but it didn't work. If you have a 47RE in a Dodge, just buy it and put it on. The nut that cuts into the wire on the PCM is easy once you understand that the red wire needs to be pushed deep into the connector for it to latch.
