Review on Premium Blower Resistor Mercedes Benz 1996 1999 by Chris Graves
Defect after 32 days.
I installed this new resistor. I installed a new fan (fan motor). After 31-32 days, the resistor seems to have overheated. This explains why the fan randomly stopped working again. I take everything back. The resistor got so hot that its inside melted and the wire or 2 was exposed. Really think I should get my money back. The top is a new replacement part. The one below is the one in the car. look at the blue wire.
