over the years i have tried many hammers; I had a Douglas with sidepull on one side and sidekick on the other that I really liked and years later I tried a very similar Titanium Dalluge but the claws didn't stay sharp enough to pull nails out. No hammer has all the features I would like, but this Estwing is my current favorite. The weight suits me; the claws are great and I like the overall balance; The feel of the handle is also good. It will take a beating, will not be damaged, and will not damage anything as it is also a beautiful instrument.
