If it weren't for the Covid and AMD inventory shortages I would buy a Ryzen processor, but I simply refuse to pay more than the suggested retail price for anything . So in June 2020 I bought this 10th gen 4C/8T processor (at MSRP) for my new gaming rig. So far I've been impressed with the performance of this i3. It's slightly faster than my old 4th gen i7 which was also 4C/8T. It's currently paired with a Geforce GTX 1660 Super Graphics and that CPU hasn't been the bottleneck in any of my games so far (unlike the GPU). All in all it was a good buy. I feel like it's a bit overpriced but that's just intelligence. This processor will be fine with me until I upgrade my graphics card. After that I'll probably replace it with an i7 or i9.
