Review on 🚀 K&N Cold Air Intake Kit for SCION xB (2003-2007): High Performance, Guaranteed Horsepower Increase (69-8605TS) by Oscar Chambers

One of the best Cold Air Intake (CAI) systems you can get on a CARB-legal Scion xB 04-06. I installed this for my 04 scion xb (manually) back in 2011 (got it for $170). Lost HP and definitely a bit in MPG (more revs = less mpg). Very simple, easy installation for any mechanic and comes with great instructions. Because of the position of the filter you get the nice blue hydrosock you see in the picture to prevent water being sucked into the inlet. Several years passed, I checked the smog and realized that I needed to replace my catalytic converter. Rather than just weld on a new Cat, I decided to upgrade the stock exhaust system. I went with new DC Sports 4 in 1 exhaust headers, a Magnaflow High Flow catalytic converter and a Magnaflow Cat Back muffler. Once I upgraded all of that THEN and only then did I feel a significant boost in performance. Now the car sounds very different (in a good way). Overall I would recommend this CAI to other xB owners.
