Review on 💡 Illuminate Your Space with NICOR Lighting 6 Inch Albalite 17505 by Justin Peck

I had to replace two of these "pads" and spend an unnecessary amount of time installing the first one. I tried to accomplish the impossible task of attaching the end of the wire to the hooks in the light jar. To deceive! Lowered the 2nd bracket down to see how it fits in! So easy. Don't even think about the hooks at the end of the wire. (They're like a locking mechanism to keep the light from falling off the ceiling!) Simply insert the wire itself into the hooks inside the jar, and when both wires are in place, slide them straight up and you are done. Furnished. There is thin white foam insulation inside the fairing - leave it there. And remove the foam trim from the existing bracket (probably taped to the ceiling!). Result: perfect seal with no light leaks on the outside of the fairing (based on another reviewer's experience). You may not need all of these instructions, but they might help someone like me who didn't know what I was doing but figured it out! Much luck!
