I bought this necklace to keep my mother's ashes in and to take with me when I travel. The necklace is quite a decent size and has a lot of ash in it compared to another necklace I bought for my brother. The small urn design also makes it easy to carry. My only warning (and hence a star deduction) is that the inner urn doesn't always stay locked. I spent my day wearing this necklace, but later found that the lid was beginning to peel off, which was evident in the remains surrounding the urn. I've just cleaned it and screwed the lid back on, but I can understand that seeing their loved one's ashes in (and possibly on) their ashes in this condition can be a little traumatic for others. So it's a nice necklace, but unless you want to risk a little urn opening I would suggest sealing the urn.
