I bought two packs and they are Genuine Samsung Fridge Water Filters. There are other cheaper replacement water filters out there. Read the details. Not all replacement filters have the same high NSF/ANSI certification, 53 for that particular filter. By the way, when we moved we took a Samsung fridge with us. I did not immediately connect the water supply to the refrigerator because I wanted to wait for the filter to be replaced. In the meantime I tried to remove the existing filter, but without success. I later learned that without a water supply to the refrigerator, it is almost impossible to remove the existing filter. Once I got the replacement water filter, I connected the water line, turned the existing filter to the open position, and was able to easily pull out the old filter.
