Keeps me warm but the material is a little itchy

I bought this for a business trip to Washington when I found out it was going to be 0 degrees. The material is thicker than the other pair I have from 32 degrees but for some reason it's a little itchy (and yes I washed it before wearing it the first time) when I wear it. But it does the job and keeps me warm. But be aware that you may be a little itchy if kept warm.
