Well, if there's one thing I've never enjoyed doing as a professional auto mechanic with 40 years of experience, it's working on the exhaust system, unless I'm replacing the entire system. Let's face it, you almost always have to make numerous trips to the parts store for pipe size adapters to get it right. Well not on this muffler, it goes straight to the factory pipes, the only difference is you cut the front pipe just before the old muffler. Removing the muffler from the exhaust pipe is not difficult as the factory uses a muffler clamp to hold the pipes together. I found it easier to remove the 2-13mm cap screws that attach the rear suspension mount to the truck and reposition them on the new muffler on the floor. I would recommend that you check the exhaust pipe to make sure it isn't rotted and you will need 2 muffler clamps.
