Very, very bright, many times brighter than the original. This is exactly what we wanted to light up the front "porch area" under the canopy. Replacing an old light fixture is pretty easy. The two things that keep me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that only 2 of the 4 holes match the holes on the original bracket. It's easy enough to drill two small pilot holes for those that don't match. Another downside is that it doesn't come with a rubber gasket to make it waterproof. I would be willing to pay a little more for a sealed light fixture. The solution was to use transparent silicone to seal it. All in all it's a good replacement and I'm happy with the result. walk.
