The seat cover is made of durable, tarpaulin-like material. It's thick in all the right places. Installing the product itself was not difficult. Seems to be pretty durable. The installation of a child seat on the product is not yet complete. I ended up dragging the entire setup three times before I had a setup that satisfied me. The mat gathered under the child seat and lowered the car seat backrest, preventing a tight fit with the car's locking system. I use an angle adjuster with my RF seat that just slipped and slid across the fabric causing the seat not to be tight even with the top cable anchor. I gave this product 3 stars because of the difficult installation. Otherwise I'm satisfied.
