I bought two of these Taylor thermometers and put them in the freezer. As other reviewers have pointed out, they are not precise tools. An hour later they showed two different temperatures: -8Β° and -10Β°. I tested them in another fridge and they are consistently 2Β° apart. Don't buy them if you want an accurate scientific instrument. A restaurant owner or chef with thousands of dollars worth of meat in the fridge would love to have a more accurate thermometer connected to their smartphone. That's enough for my home use. They are very easy to read and show temperature changes in minutes. They're also quite large, for tight spaces you'll need something smaller.
