This product can be very good or very bad depending on how well you follow the instructions and how skillfully you use it. I applied this product to a few small door windows and it worked great. I would recommend the following: 1) Strictly follow the simple instructions. 2) Cut a piece slightly larger than the space you will be attaching it. 3) Reapply according to the included instructions for use. 4) Then use a very sharp knife or razor blade to precisely level the space without overlapping (or removing too much). 5) IMPORTANT: The final step is important, which is carefully removing air bubbles and excess water from between the glass. and product with a hard plastic wedge (I avoided a metal spatula so as not to damage the product). When squeezing, use a cloth to soak up the water that is squeezed out. If you don't remove excess water or air, the product will bubble and eventually partially or completely peel off and look awful. Conversely, if the product doesn't stick properly when you squeeze it, you may need to add more water with a spray bottle. Finding balance is the key. Finally, you can leave it on for about an hour after you've finished pressing it, and then return to it to press a little more to see if any water or bubbles formed while it sat. looked great with these techniques and lasted great for several months. Now I gave the extra parts of the product to a family member and they tried to use it. It didn't look very good and I suspect they didn't apply it as carefully as I did. Just one example of how a product rating can differ drastically from how well you apply or use it. It was in a cold month (from winter to spring) which I think is worth mentioning. I have yet to see how it holds up in hot sun conditions.
