When not in the winter months, my bedroom for some crazy reason is always unseasonably HOT, especially when the sun is shining. It's now early spring and the outside temperature is fluctuating as it always does in the spring and I did NOT want to turn on the central air and freeze my family out just because my room was so hot, nor did I want to buy a window AC unit and jack up my electric bill. I work 12hr shifts from 3am-3pm and my bedtime is about the time my room is at it's hottest. When I get home from work, I add ice to the bottom of the cooling unit, fill with water, add one of the included ice packs and fire up the unit so it can start working it's magic. When I am ready for bed, my room is not just cooled down, it is cooled down significantly and is perfect for me to sleep comfortably. So for me, the purchase of this unit was a Game Changer!
