Review on Bayou Classic Stainless Steel Thermometer by Dana Franklin

This is my third of these thermometers. The first one I stepped on broke after about 3 years of use; that has always worked well. The second was essentially DOA; it read A LOT of actual temperature. It would only register 50 when the actual temperature was 200. The third reads fairly accurately, just above the actual temperature (provides a small safety margin. It reads 350 when the actual temperature is around 335). So 2 out of 3 were good. However, I could not find a better option in terms of price / quality, so I think it's worth checking the thermometer as soon as you receive it. At least two that have worked seem to be consistent.
