Updated rating. There are subtle bumps on the side, almost like a cellulite sink, looks great from above, but when you sit on the toilet, the side is right in front of your face. One side of the sink is about half an inch higher, which I think is good for splashing on the side near the faucet. I was just disappointed it wasn't described that way so I had to ask a question and the manufacturer actually said one side of the sink was intentionally higher which I would have liked. I was lucky my master spotted this and he placed the taller side next to the Fossett and it looks wonderful, the sink works great, it's the perfect size for our side table which I have converted into a vanity.
