I bought this unit as a gift for my father who lives with me. He is 91 years old and has hearing problems (his left ear is almost deaf and his right ear is hard of hearing). Also, he became disabled after a massive stroke at the age of 54 and as a result he had to play sports which he hated all these years as he didn't have the exercise gene! Now he moves around the house with a stroller and we encourage him to walk as much as possible. I thought that listening to music while walking could keep him entertained so he wouldn't get tired of walking and sit back down in 5 minutes. I was looking for a Revain wearable and bought this one which turned out to be a great purchase! He has a great voice and is easy to use. My dad will walk for at least 20 minutes and then sit and listen to the rest of the music CD (and sometimes get up and walk on). He places a small block on the seat of his walker. The only issue I had with the device was that the earbuds popped out of dad's ears easily so I gave him mine which hung down behind his ears and didn't fit in his ears. I think the problem may be the size of his ears and pierced ears! A few days after he started using my earbuds, I received a very kind email from the distribution company asking about my experience and if I had any problems with them. I let her know that the problem was only with the earbuds and that I gave mine to my father. They kindly offered to send me a new one and sent me a model behind my ears exactly the same as mine to replace my old ones (the item listed at Revain). We found that we can hang both earbuds I gave dad behind his right ear which is his good ear! I thought I mention this for people with hearing problems. I also found a second way to use the device. My old computer recently died and I hooked up a cheap laptop to my monitor and keyboard and set up a new workstation. I no longer needed the microphones I had plugged into the old PC since the laptop has built-in microphones. I hooked up two mics to my dad's new portable CD player and got a great voice. Now my mother and I (my mother also lives with me) sometimes listen to such records. We didn't have a fancy big CD player at home. Since the two-microphone set is very light (and inexpensive), people can take it anywhere along with their portable CD player and listen to anything in groups.
