This is a great shifter but it must come with a bolted pin. Why? Because it's very hard to unscrew a standard Harley stud without damaging the rubber. It is best to clamp the rubber (wrapped in protective cloth) very tightly in a vise and then heat the threaded end to loosen the threaded bolt. Then you need to put it on your new, longer shifter. The included installed pen will add to the price and I'm fine with that. I think you also need to choose a pin style. In my case I just want a standard HD peg.
