Firstly, this machine is HUGE. Looks like something from a Jetsons cartoon is sitting in my house. It can be stationary or you can install wheels to roll it around. It's light enough to lift, but if you plan to move it from room to room you'll need to install wheels. It has a huge round filter inside and I think it costs over $100 to replace. It's said to last anywhere from 6 months to a year depending on usage, and you can vacuum it a bit to extend its life, according to the manual. The machine is quiet and works very well. I have this in my bedroom and it filters out all the stink and pollen. My room smells nice and fresh when it's open 24/7. It has an LED display that shows different colors depending on the air quality in the room. If it is blue light, it means the air is good. Green means the air is fine and red means bad. If you set it to Auto, the fan speed will be adjusted. It's pretty quiet and makes a nice white noise when running. Of course, if it's running at a higher fan speed, you'll notice it, but if the air quality is good and consistent, you'll hardly hear it. When using these machines it is best to keep the doors and windows closed, otherwise this will defeat the purpose. The device has a Wi-Fi button, but this particular device does not have Wi-Fi functionality. I think they just used the default theme for everyone. You don't actually have to control it if you set it to Auto. You just have to let him do his thing. My room smells fresh and I don't feel like sneezing as often anymore. I like it and it works fine. I am impressed.
