Fast and economical solution.
I've had these sticks in my bed before and after my last knee surgery I used them on my couch and chair. They make lifting with a surgical disability much easier. I've since pulled them out from under the chair, but we like that the couch is higher so they stay. A bed skirt covers the space from the sofa to the floor, and it is much more comfortable for elderly or convalescent surgical patients.
