Perfect replacement for the worn selenium discs used to drive the whistle in Lionel's ZW transformers. I own four of these transformers and have installed them in all of them for a total of eight diodes. They are much more reliable than older technologies. Mount directly on the bracket without a grommet. It is recommended to clean all contacts while inspecting the rollers. With just a few minutes of maintenance, you can enjoy your ZW for more than 70 years!
