Review on 💪 OTC Steel Hydraulic Engine Stand - Heavy Duty Support for 1000 lb. Engines by Prem Robinson

I've been a mechanic for over 50 years and have probably used hundreds of over the counter specialty tools made in the USA, they were the industry standard for quality. I bought this £1000 OTC motor stand and didn't mind paying more because of the OTC brand. While it's probably twice as strong as any other 1000lb stand, you can say goodbye, it's definitely not OTC standard and quality. Made in China. Very unsatisfied with the quality. The welds are rubbish, hopefully they will hold up to their 1000lb weight capacity that the stand is rated for and had to re-cut the screw holes on the main mounting plate. All Chinese mounting hardware replaced with US Grade 8. I do not know. This should continue with updates made as I definitely wouldn't buy another for the price.
