Review on LG 34UM69G-B UltraWide Monitor: 34-Inch 2560X1080P, 75Hz, HD, Reduction by Daniel Moncivaiz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fantastic monitor - Works great with a 2016 Macbook Pro with USB-C for video.

I chose this monitor specifically because of the price and the USB-C input. As many say, the screen quality is very good. Keep in mind that this isn't the highest resolution option, but it's a great option at this price point. I think this is a good buy because of the quality, the free sync technology if you have an AMD Radeon graphics card and because unlike most monitors it has a USB-C port with DP Alternate Mode. To use USB-C, you MUST purchase the correct USB-C cable with the latest bandwidth (10Gbps). Here is the link to the cable I bought for the specs if you need it: Nekteck USB-IF Certified USB-C 3.1 GEN 2 (10Gbps/100W) USB-C Cable -to USB C Cable C to C (Thunnderbolt 3 Compatible) with E - Marker & Power Delivery for MacBook Pro Galaxy Note 8 Pixel 2/Black 3.3ft Playing games on this monitor and editing photos and videos is really great. The extra space for the timeline when editing is great, and the extra side space for your tray and tools is great too. A very pleasant surprise - before buying I read people's reviews that the speakers were quite good, but I don't buy monitors and I consider the built-in speaker, but I must say that I was just shocked by the very decent one Sound from the built-in speaker. This was another big win for my Macbook Pro as it once again eliminated extra desk clutter and reduced cables. This speaker won't blow you away, but it's more than enough for most things. Monitor speakers are usually crap, so that was a nice bonus. Software - There is some really cool software out there that includes PIP and split screen. Easy to use and not one of those setups where you play once and never use again. This is indeed a very useful supplement that is well done. Bottom line – listen guys, this monitor isn't exactly the highest quality screen you can get because the resolution is only 2560 x 1080, the refresh rate is a decent 75Hz, BUT boom! per dollar, I just don't think there is a better buy for less than $280 at the time of writing this article. I am very happy with this purchase, I would definitely recommend it to everyone.
