The last time I used my old bread knife, I threw it in the bin. It was cheap goods from a large discount chain that deformed the bread when it was cut. And it wasn't a particularly soft bread. Got this great bread knife from VVXX. I've never heard of it, but it looked way better than my budget knife. I am very happy that I received it. Initial use was just slicing regular French toast bread, but this thing just slid over a stack of bread with little to no resistance and no warping of the soft bread. How important is a decent knife? If you look at the blade up close you can see a very nice sharp edge of the teeth. Great looking knife that works amazing.
