This is a powerful, robust fan that pushes lots of air where it's needed. However, they have become cheap in one area - the tension wire. It's plastic and mine broke right at the base on the first pull. I'll take it apart and hope the regular ceiling fan switch works as a replacement. One more thing to note: the oscillation function is not a simple toggle switch. You have to unscrew the lever and attach it to another hole to turn the oscillation on or off. So if that's a problem for you, don't buy this. Otherwise, it's a good fan that releases a lot of air.
