Review on 🔇 Noctua NF-A8 PWM: AAO Frame Design, SSO2 Bearing, Premium Quality Quiet Fan by Brent Gurney

I recently received these as exhaust fans for my case. I chose the Noctua HSF for the processor I like, so figured I'd use the matching kit for the back of the case to match the aesthetic (since you can see everything through the top window of the case). Rubber anti-vibration bolts make installation much easier than using screws (they come with both so you can choose). The first thing that strikes you when you open the box is that everything is clearly laid out in a foam tray. and looks very professional. It doesn't matter if the performance isn't there, of course, but it's reassuring that everything is well packaged. It just adds that extra layer of making you feel like Noctua really cares about you. There's nothing worse than ordering something and finding it rattling in a tasteless brown box with no packaging. The only issue I have is that the two 80mm exhaust grilles are as close together as possible for my body. possible to get. This caused an issue where because the case is so much smaller than normal (it's an ITX setup) I couldn't physically use the bottom rubber plug on one of the fans as it's so close to the other fan that it physically impossible to reach pin and pull hard enough to snap it into place. Luckily, the rubber corner pads (removable) are next to each other and the second fan is even held in place with three pins. The real draw is that they come with a Y-splitter. My motherboard only has a 4-pin case fan header. Since it was already being used by the front 200mm fan, I was able to connect both Y-hubs together to connect all three fans. While Y-splitters are fairly inexpensive, they saved me from having to order additional parts. The only downside is that some people might not like the color scheme, but that didn't bother me too much.
