Broken on first use: Foundation brush

Broken on first use. I wanted to love it that way, the bristles were soft and thick (despite falling off pretty badly) but it ended up barely merging half of my foundation into my face and it just peeled off the foundation. I don't see any glue or a way to attach it, so I don't know how everyone else didn't break theirs too?
