I noticed that I was getting tan from my morning water aerobics exercise and bought this product to protect me from the sun. Even though I exercise in the morning, I thought the California sun wouldn't be that intense but I was wrong. I didn't purchase this product to keep me warm in the water which I think it doesn't. It is still early days to determine the effect of the sun now that I am wearing this item at my water exercises but I don't think why it shouldn't offer protection from the sun. Only difficulty is removing it after it is wet. Other than that, the advertising is truthful.
